Referral service
Brentwood Solar Service is an independent referral website, not a contractor. We do not remove, reinstall or repair solar equipment. When you call or send a request, we pass it to an independent local solar contractor who serves your area. Quotes, pricing, scheduling, warranties, and all work are handled directly by that contractor. Roof and electrical work should only be done by a licensed contractor: ask for the contractor's license number and verify it at cslb.ca.gov.
Cost information and its sources
Cost ranges on this site are published figures, cited where they appear, from national sources and one Southern California contractor. The sources used, and the dates we read them (October 1, 2026):
- Fixr, Cost to Remove Solar Panels to Replace Roof (national, last updated January 31, 2025)
- HomeGuide, How Much Does It Cost to Remove Solar Panels? (national, last updated June 26, 2024)
- Helios Energy Global, Solar Panel Removal: Roof Repair vs. Replacement (a Southern California contractor, last verified September 2026)
- California Rate Relief, Solar Panel Removal and Reinstall Cost in California (a private referral service; cited for its statement that no California agency publishes removal prices; updated September 23, 2026)
These figures are not specific to Brentwood and are for orientation only. They do not include roofing. The only price that applies to your roof and system is the written quote from the contractor who looks at them.
Permit and local information
The permit guide summarizes what the Contra Costa County SolarAPP+ and solar permit pages said on October 1, 2026. We did not confirm what the City of Brentwood or City of Antioch rules say about removal and reinstall and we do not state one. Rules change; check with the building department that covers your address.
Technical information
Descriptions of how a detach and reset, a repair or an inverter replacement usually go are general. Every system, roof and contract is different, and the contractor's instructions and your equipment manuals take precedence. Nothing on this site is engineering, electrical, roofing, legal or insurance advice. Rooftop and electrical work is for licensed contractors.
Leased and PPA systems, warranties
What an agreement allows, and how work affects a warranty, depends on the documents for your system. We do not state those terms. Read your agreement and ask your provider and your contractors in writing.
Licensing and contracts
When this site refers a request, we intend it to go to a contractor who holds a current California contractor license, but we do not verify licenses or insurance and we do not inspect work. Ask the contractor for their license number and verify it at cslb.ca.gov before any work begins. For California's rules on when a license is required and what a home-improvement contract must contain, see the Contractors State License Board directly; we do not restate those rules here.
Images
Photographs on this site are generated example images of homes, solar equipment and roofs. They are not photographs of work arranged through this site, and no image shows a completed job or a specific customer's home.
