What this site is
Brentwood Solar Service is an independent referral website for solar panel removal and reinstall, and solar panel and inverter repair, in Brentwood and the surrounding East Contra Costa communities. We are not a contractor and don't work on solar systems ourselves. When you call or send a request, we pass it to an independent local solar contractor who serves your area.
The contractor gives you the quote, sets the price, schedules the work, and is responsible for the job and its warranty. You deal with them directly, and you're never obligated to hire anyone.
Why this site exists
Most homeowners with solar and a roof or repair problem want three things: to understand what is involved, roughly what it will cost, and who can do it well. The pages here try to answer the first two honestly, with published cost ranges and the sources named, and with the questions to ask each contractor. The phone number and form handle the third.
What this site covers, and what it doesn't
Solar panel removal and reinstall (detach and reset), mostly for roof work, and repair of residential solar panels and inverters. It does not cover new solar installation, financing, panel cleaning, or commercial systems.
What we won't do
- Post fake reviews, badges, awards, or project photos, or present stock images as completed work.
- Claim years in business, licenses, or credentials this site doesn't have.
- Promise response times, warranties, or prices that a contractor hasn't committed to.
- State prices as Brentwood-specific when they are national or Southern California ranges.
Check any contractor, including one you find here
- Ask for the contractor's CSLB license number and look it up at cslb.ca.gov. The CSLB site also explains when a California contractor license is required.
- Get the quote in writing, itemized: the number of panels, removal and storage, new flashing and hardware, reinstall, a production check, the permit, and the schedule.
- Be wary of large deposits or cash-only terms. Ask who is responsible if a panel is damaged during removal and who stands behind roof attachments afterward.
- If the roof and the solar are separate contractors, ask who coordinates the schedule and how long the system will be off.
